Kainchi Dham, situated in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, lies between two intersecting hills that resemble the shape of scissors. This renowned Hanuman temple in the Kumaon mountains was established by the saint Neem Karoli Baba in 1960 A.D. It also serves as an ashram for Neem Karoli Baba, who is revered as an avatar of Lord Hanuman. Significant festivals celebrated at Kainchi Dham include Shivaratri and the Kainchi Dham Fair. The ideal time to visit this temple is from February to June.
